What you can do on Orchard right now
A plain walkthrough of what is actually built and usable on the platform today, from browsing products to estimating a return before you commit.
We would rather tell you exactly what is available on Orchard today than describe something that does not exist yet. Here is a plain walkthrough of what you can actually do right now.
Browse the range of investment types
On the homepage, you can look through the specific investment types available through Orchard, split into two broad groups.
Fixed income covers treasury bills, commercial papers, fixed deposits, and eurobonds. These are the more predictable, term-based instruments, where you commit funds for a set period and know upfront how the return is structured.
Alternatives cover real estate and REITs, private equity, venture debt, and real assets. These carry a different kind of exposure than fixed income, usually tied to a physical asset or a private company rather than a government or bank obligation.
Each one is described in plain terms rather than sold to you with return promises. You can see the mechanics of how it works before deciding whether it fits what you are trying to do with your money.
Read the full breakdown by category
If you want more detail than a short summary gives you, the Fixed Income and Alternatives pages go deeper into each product type: how it is structured, what regulatory basis it operates under, and what to expect mechanically. This is meant to be read before you invest, not after.
Try the investment simulator
Before you commit any money, the investment simulator lets you enter an amount and a term and see how it plays out under different products, so you can compare options side by side without any commitment. It is a planning tool, not a guarantee of what any specific product will pay, but it is a useful way to get a feel for how term length and product type affect an outcome. Try out the simulator now.
What is coming next
We are not going to list features that do not exist yet as if they do. What you see on the platform today, the product listings, the detail pages, and the simulator, is what is real right now. As more gets built, including the account and investing flow itself, we will keep this blog updated with what changes, described the same way: plainly, and only once it is actually usable.
